AFP02 - Anti-Federalist Papers - Part 2

In Letter 2, Centinel cautioned that the fledgling
government would engage in power grabs, taking more powers than initially granted.  He is concerned that trial by jury will be at risk due to federal courts' overreach.

While it could have been argued that Centinel impetuously claimed the Constitution would give federal courts sway over matters between states and their citizens, since that time, appellate court rulings (especially those vacating controversial state ballot initiatives) have added support to Centinel's assertions.
